“ It’s a good thing we don’t live close because we would spend WAY too much money dining out because this is our FAVORITE sushi! My husband said his Philadelphia roll was the best he’s had (& we’ve eaten a lot of sushi on the coast). I love that their deep fried rolls have a thin breading so the deep fried flavor doesn’t overwhelm the roll. Fast service & a great price of 30.95 for all you can eat! The only thing I’d like to improve the dining experience is some light background music. It was eerily quiet when we first arrived at 5pm. ”
“ First. Our server Ally was phenomenal! Attentive, kind, patient, and took the time to explain everything. Really appreciated her! Second. Food was really good! Plenty of choices. Get the all you can eat sushi. Well worth the money. The restaurant was a little small at first glance, but there is a 2nd room to accommodate if needed. Will definitely be back! If you cannot finish your dinner for the all you can eat, you can get a take home box for a cost, which is 25% of however much the sushi roll is. Pepsi products. Parking is the side of the street, so you might have a walk. ”
“ I am not always one to rave about a place, but Izumi in Cedar Rapids is where it’s at! Hands down THE BEST sushi restaurant I have even been to! It was a very inviting and cozy atmosphere. The staff and the food were incredible! My friend has younger kids and our waiter made balloon animals for them. He also made paper roses for my friend and I. They really went above and beyond with service and the sushi was top notch! I would absolutely recommend this restaurant to anyone! ”

“ This place was AMAZING! Food was great service was spectacular! We loved that they use pieces of paper to order each round. Our waiter was so kind and he even made my daughter a balloon dog which she LOVED! She had just done excellent at her gymnastics tournament and getting that balloon animal was really just the cherry on top of an amazing experience in Cedar Rapids! It was also very conveniently located in downtown. We were able to leave our car in a nearby parking ramp and walk there quickly from the Powerhouse Arena. ”
“ We love this place!!! It’s one of our favorite date night places! Its on the pricey side but with 2 meals and tip, it usually runs 80. We love the atmosphere but their sushi is what shines! It’s hard to find quality sushi in the Midwest but they do such a good job! We love taking others here and it’s WELL WORTH the hour drive for us! Staff is always so friendly and happy to give recommendations! It’s truly an experience! ”

He went above and beyond to celebrate our graduation by showing us a super cool magic trick and making us a balloon animal. I highly recommend asking to sit in his section when you visit. ”
